Default Opera 9.63/Updated Immunization Loaded Unwanted cookies

Using Opera 9.63 with SB 1.6.0. Updated SB today and after immunization my Opera was loaded with numerous unwanted cookies that came from immunization. Cookies include porn sites,ad sites, sextracker etc. Spent 10 minutes deleting cookies...then re-immunize again...and sure enough all the unwanted cookies were back thanks to SB. Believe this had happened before...but was unsure SB was the culprit until i took the time to verify. WTF happened? TIA

Spybot does immunize Opera to some tracking cookies. It is not adding the cookies to Opera, but rather it is blocking the tracking cookies.

Default Sorry, but it Did and Does Add Cookies to Opera

Thank you for your reply, but you are mistaken. This morning after reading your reply i check the Opera cookie managner and the cookies that SB set yesterday were still gone after i removed them thru the cookie manager. Then i opened the SB this morning and re-immunized and surprised to see 177 unprotected threats listed. Then re-immunized again and again reset to 0 unprotected. (This was done with Opera closed). Opened my Opera...and there were all the cookies i deleted yesterday. At least 50 or more...among them : antivirus2007,babespornmag.combluestreak.comburstmedia.com,casinopays,casinored,vegasred,doubleclick.net,doubleclick.com,excite.com,kiwicasino, too too many to list here. If i were to venture a guess i would say they are tracking cookies......that were set by SB.

Had often wondered where all those strange cookies were coming from, trying to narrow down sites that might have set them...now i know beyond any doubt SB was the culprit. In my limited experience SB has never really "supported" the Opera browser. There have always been intermittent "issues" with cookies,Opera and SB...so you can add this to the list of incidents.

So thank you again for your time, but please don't tell me that SB doesn't set cookies....it did, does and my question is the same one as yesterday, WTF?

No,what you are seeing in the cookie manager are not cookies put on by Spybot, those "cookies" you are seeing are added by Spybot immunization to block those cookies.
That is why you had to reimmunize,it is part of Spybot's immunization, and you removed them.

    mmmm.....cookies.

    Up-to-date browser support
Both immunization and the on-demand scan are able to access a dozen different browsers, which now include the latest revisions of the most popular ones, Firefox and Opera.

Thank you for the clarification. Seeing all those "threats" combined with the cookies i was trying to save threw me off. Opera's cookie manager leaves a lot to be desired when compared to IE and FF where you are clearly able to delineate between the "wheat and chaff". But that is an Opera problem, not a SB problem. Again, thank you for your time.
