Please help - I'm a real novice with some virus

I can't use my sercuity updates and tried to go back to an earlier date and that doesn't work either. Spy bolt says I have some trojans, virtumonde.genric, and a scientfic one. Spy bot gets it every time it's run but it isn't like going away - even though I hit "fix the problems" and get the green check marks.I tried to go to castle cops but they are no longer on the web. Can someone help a real dummy get this off her computer? I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
