Can't log in

I use XP SP3. Last night I ran S&D. It suggested upgrading to a newer version, so I did. After the install, it asked for a reboot, which I did.

Before, I was automatically logged in. After that reboot, though, it stopped at the welcome screen, where you click on the user name. Clicking on the user name causes the desktop to appear (only for a couple seconds at most), but then it says "saving your settings", as it does when you shut down, and goes right back to the user select screen.

I've tried the safe modes and the same thing happens. I also tried last good boot or whatever it's called, but evidently this is a successful boot, because it went right back there. Any ideas?

Which version did you have installed before you've updated to 1.6.2 ?
