Default Jump to location does not work

    v1.6.2.46

When after a scan a registry entry is found, right clicking on it and selecting "More details / Jump to location" opens the Registry Editor, but does not go to the location of the registry entry. Instead it open at the spot that was last opened in it.

    Regards,

That depends a bit on the system. regedit.exe is not really a thing that was designed to be remote controlled, so all Spybot-S&D can do is start regedit.exe, then send some key presses to it that would navigate to the place in question.

If regedit.exe is already open, it might work better. And RegAlyzer as an alternative to regedit supports real control.

My experience has always been that you need to go back a click on the "Jump To" link a second time (once Regedit has opened) to get the specific registry key to open. I suspect that opening Regedit first would also work as PepiMK states - but never tried that as it takes longer.
