updates

HI.

I would like to inquire about the updates.

When I updated several Malware and Trojan updates were missing.

Also I was wondering.

Upon installing some program found its way into my computer and immediatly began installing about 5000 corrupted programs under different names using the java client via limewire.

I constantly deleted them yet they continue to multiply.

Is there anyway that I can set Spybot S&D to automatically get rid of these files?

Also, spybot s&d was acting up upon set up.

It refused to be accessed and froze.

I simply exited the program and went to the icon.

Bonjetti however,
[who contacted me upon finding this]
did not have that ease to finish the problem with.

For some reason when he installed and attempted to open, he was continually bombarded by error messages explaining that the file was corrupt.

I told him to search for a mirror and he did, only to no avail with all the same problems.

Here is some advise

Please read this sticky on p2p:

As for getting rid of the 5000 infected programs, A Operating System install disk might be a time saving approach. Only as long as you can copy personal files onto another drive.

I am guessing it would take too much time and effort to remove the programs, so I suggest reinstalling Windows. After windows is reinstalled, just install spybot and then update and do a scan.

If you want better advise or want a mod to speak to you, you should post a hijack this log under malware removal.
That can be found here: http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22

But please, ask a moderator before doing anything that feels strange.

We don't know what files (infections) were downloaded. Spybot-S&D will detect what it has in it's detection database.
Some infections, or new variants, need to be removed manually.

We do not recommend such to anyone.

First step is to see the logs (if they able to produce them) for analysis. :)
