    Default AIM virus

im not sure exactly what i have but i know i downloaded it myself. windows defender(sigh) identifies it as "qoologic" and reminds me i have it quite often. S&D only identifies its effects, including: my microsoft updates being frozen, microsoft firewall being disabled, and the alerts about both being turned off. it allows me to turn the updates on momentarily but entirely blocks my attempts to activate the firewall through "group policy". the other two antispyare programs i use ask to remove it on the next restart, but obviously never suceed. the viruses main effects are random pop-ups after initially browsing to a page, and activating a process that sends a message to everyone on my AIM buddy list if i have it open as a result of opening an internet page. this occurs while using both internet explorer and firefox.

Also if you can, put the virus in a zipped file and email it to Safer-Networking to be added in Spybot. Email it to detections AT spybot.info
