    Default Missing rights for recovery tool?

    Hello,

    When I try to purge some items from the recovery tool, it says 'You are probably missing rights for this action!'

    Any way of fixing this?

    I am the only user on the machine and I have admin rights.

    Hello,

    It seems that something has removed your file/folder permissions for the recoveries. Please check the permissions in:

    * Windows NT, 2000 or XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Recovery

    (Please note that the Application Data Folder is hidden. So if you can't find this folder please check your folder properties;http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html)

    NTFS permissions:

    If you are using Windows XP Home you probably have to start Windows in safe mode in order to be able to access the permission settings.
