Please Help - Security Tool

Hi

I have a program running on my computer called Security Tool. I have tried to run Hijack This. I am able to run it but only if I reboot the computer before the malware activates but I can't save a log as the program prevents notpad from opening and I get and error message.

Hi,

Please download exeHelper to your desktop.
Double-click on exeHelper.com to run the fix.
A black window should pop up, press any key to close once the fix is completed.
Post the contents of log.txt (Will be created in the directory where you ran exeHelper.com)
Note: If the window shows a message that says Error deleting file, please re-run the program before posting a log - and post the two logs together (they will both be in the one file).


Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds.scr to run the tool.

• When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
  1. DDS.txt
  2. Attach.txt
• Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.

Thanks for the responce.

Since I posted the first part, AVG has managed to do a scan and the pop up has now stopped. However, everything is still running very slowly and Google is being redirected.

I have been able to do a Hijackthis log now.

Double-click ATF Cleaner.exe to open it

Under Main choose:
Windows Temp
Current User Temp
All Users Temp
Cookies
Temporary Internet Files
Prefetch
Java Cache

Then click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox:
Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click NO at the prompt.

If you use Opera:
Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click NO at the prompt.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.


* Go here to run an online scanner from ESET.

• Make sure that the option Remove found threats is UNchecked.

• Wait for the scan to finish
• Post back its report, a fresh dds.txt log and above mentioned ComboFix resultant log.

Hi

I've just tried to do the combofix. The program ran through 50 stages and started to delete. It then crashed out to the blue screen and said a serious error had been detected.

Should I try it again?

Try to run it again. If it still crashes try to run without the script and post back the results.
