~e5d141 doesn't appear in my hijack this log, spybot S&D, or ad-aware. I can tell this is a problem however. I game and whenever i try to start a game it freezes and this program appears. Is there anyway to remove it since ive tried plenty.

I moved your topic from Malware removal as you did not follow the procedure for posting in that forum and there was no follow up to the helper who responded to you here:

    Re: ~e5d141.tmp

    Lots of Google hits:
    Process name: Cleanup

    Product: Macrovision Europe Ltd. Cleanup

    Company: Macrovision Europe Ltd (www.macrovision.com)

    File: ~e5d141.tmp

However malware can be called anything, hard to tell how it might fiqure into your scenerio without having seen any logs.

If you would like your malware forum topic re-opened please pm your helper.

    Default ~e5d141.tmp

I`ve had this problem wiht Flight Sim 2004.

Previously the program was working without a hitch, then I suddenly got the error message and couldnt run it, "Error:Access Denied".

I put anohter user account on my computer, but that was something I didnt want to do as everything just ran s;lower, , so I really wanted to fix this.

    I fixed it thus:

Locate the file ~e5d141.tmp, using Start, then Search.

Delete the file ~e5d141.tmp to the receycle bin.

Run the program you want, it will recreate the ~e5d141.tmp file.

    Everything is running fine now.

    Bada Boom, bada bing.

I think the file just gets corrupted.

    Hope this cures your problem.
