Cannot update

I am trying to update the definitions in Spybot S&D 1.6.2, but the list of available download sites never appears. When I click update I get a box telling me "Please select some update files from the list first" but the list is not on my screen (or listed in the task manager). When I click ok, the box disappears and another box flashes very quickly - I assume that is the list but it just flashes and goes away. This is happening when I update from inside the program (running as administrator and just normal), and by clicking on update from the tray bar icon.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and just did another installation without uninstalling first to see if that helped. Still nothing. The only new security programs I have added recently is tea timer and resident SD.

Any advice?

There's a beta update here that you can try:

You need to unzip the file into the main application folder,usually C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\.
