    Default Icon failure

    I received the reply email to Unhappy User, great reply !
    So I followed the first step, downloaded RunAnalyser and ran it but no icon has appeared so I cannot open it !
    I guess I have some really bad stuff that knows how to handel Spybot !
    Any help appreciated.

    Dear tashi,
    thanks for your assistance as I type these words they are sometimes delayed by several seconds before appearing. This rarely happens but here it's as though something in the system knows I'm trying to kill it and is fighting back.
    This is my daughters computer and she opperates it in Thai, we are in Thailand. She is 16.
    Cryptographic services is stopped, I have tried to start but cannot even in safe mode.
    I have downloaded installed and deleted Ad Aware as it would not run cleared out other bad stuff with hijack this and today reinstaled Ad Aware.
    I have just uninstalled it and now the typing is working normally.
    I could not update AdAware it said unable to conect then could not scan error 5001.
    Other security programs: Malwarebytes Spywareblaster Zone Alarm
    AVG free
    Version 5.1 (Build 2600 xpsp_sp3_gdr.090206-1234 : Service Pack 3)

    Default Addenum

    Dear tashi,
    sorry I failed to mention that Internet Explorer stopped working a few days ago. It now asks to Open With when clicked.
    It's version 5.1, I have downloaded version 8 but cannot install it
    Gives a failed to install, could not validate integrity of file Update . inf .
    Make sure that Cryptographic services are running on this computer

    Hello Stephen 9,

    Please see this FAQ which also includes instructions on posting a preliminary DDS log: "BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance)

    Then start a new topic in the Malware Removal Forum and copy paste the log into it, an analyst will advise you as soon as available.

    If DDS won't run please start a new thread anyway and make note of the situation.

    Also include in your post that you fixed some items with HiJackThis, as volunteer analysts need to be aware, and don't try any more fixes while waiting for help.
