Thread: malware directs IE to Antivir Solutions

    I did reset the settings. But IE is still not working properly. Cannot run the online scanner.
    My internet options homepage is set to google, But when i start IE, it tries to go to http://go.microsoft.com/?Linkid=76277 IE cannot display the webpage

    You should still have OTL on your desktop, do this


    Run OTL
    • Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following
      Code:
      :OTL
      PRC - C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE (Microsoft Corporation)
      IE - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings: "ProxyServer" = http=127.0.0.1:5643
      
      :Commands
      [purity]
      [emptytemp]
      [start explorer]
      [Reboot]
    • Then click the Run Fix button at the top
    • Let the program run unhindered, reboot when it is done
    • Post the log its created please



    Then run OTL just to scan your system and post a new scan log in please
