    Exclamation Microsoft component has stopped working.

    i don't know how i got this error. It only appears after the window vista loads, what should i do? I did live one care scan/ MSE scan / spyots SD Scan but no virus found. What should i do first? I'll appreciate any kind of help. Thank you.

    Hi, thank you for your response.

    I dont have visual basic but i have some .NET Framework installed.

    i found out that there is a program name "svchost.exe" on my startup folder. I think after i cleaned the trojan virus, it left some unwanted programs on my pc. Thanks for your help

    Malware can call itself anything so the legitimacy of the process depends on the path.

    I see you use P2P. Please see this thread

    Did Windows Vista come pre-installed on your computer or did you upgrade.

    Do you remember the name of the malware that infected the machine and how did you remove it.
