    Question I've been comprimised... HELP

I am not well versed in computer virus/attack issues... just self taught so I may not explain very well but hopefully someone can help me...

It appears that I have been attacked and all of my keystrokes were (maybe still are) being copied. My online banking password was compromised and according to Norton the bad guy has downloaded something that follows my mouse clicks and key strokes - they will try and fix for another $99... Yikes. I know when it happened everything on my browser like tool bar icons etc. changed but at the time I didn't really get that anything was wrong. What an idiot I am... should have just shut down but now I know.

I have new Sony Vio with Windows 7. I run Norton but have recently downloaded Spy-bot, HiJackTHis, Malwarebytes, AdvancedCare, CCleaner and Window Defender (just to name a few). Apparently, I received a balloon for a java update - it looked real and all I did was run mouse over it and wham... it loaded the key-logger garbage! Norton said they know what is wrong and have not sent out a patch yet - they won't cause they can get more money out of poor saps like me! :( I was using Google Chrome (my fave) as my browser but I have since downloaded and tried Firefox but it keeps freezing when on Facebook so I am primarily using IE8 (I hate it!).

I have cleaned everything I can find - Spy-bot comes up clean now, Malwarebytes found and cleaned items, Advance-Care found some stuff clean and defraged, CCleaner defraged and cleaned up registry. Sony Vio Care - cleaned and defragged. The first time I ran HiJackThis I got a log 3 pages long but now it is only 1 page. Since I have run everything under the sun it appears I may have removed whatever it is but I am not 100% sure. I have run all of these programs in Safe Mode as well as just regular boot up.
No problems with the start-up and everything appears to load correctly.

Can someone help me - 1) tell me what is effected and how to remove it. 2) I have a log of possible effected items but I can't tell what is okay and what is not. 3) Help me attach the log correctly so someone at this forum can view and give advice.

I would really appreciate some help... I don't know who I can trust and who is the bad guy so I am taking a chance and hoping this is the safest route to take of my problem. Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hello aj822,

So that everyone is on the same track please see the forum FAQ which also includes instructions for posting a preliminary DDS log:

"BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance)

Then start a new topic, copy paste the DDS log into it and a volunteer analyst will advise you when available.

    Best regards.
