Default System crash due to ampse.sys file

I receive the BSD randomly. Screen says that it is accruing due to a system dump caused by the file ampse.sys. A little research shows that the file could be at risk of being infected yet my virus software sans turn up nothing. Started happening a month ago. No problems before that. Running a program “whocrashed” gives this information. Need help to figure out what to do, thanks.

A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: ampse.sys (AMP Scan Engine driver, Authentium, Inc).
