Does Spybot block updates for Internet Explorer 8?

I’ve just finished updating Windows 7 on my home notebook. After system reboot I opened up Windows Updates Journal and saw there was a “Denial” for Cumulative security update KB2482017 for Internet Explorer 8.

I run Microsoft Security Essentials on my notebook, also Spybot: Search and Destroy. The last one actually immunizes IE from external hi-jacks, but I wonder if it can block an update for browser?

My OS: Windows 7 Home Basic 64-bit. Localized Russian version.

I am sorry, but Spybot - Search & Destroy should not block IE updates, unless you tell the resident TeaTimer to do so.

Maybe you should check your Microsoft Security Essentials.
