What happens now is that 'FileAlyzer 2' starts and shows as running in the SysInternals tool 'ProcExp' and is continuously using about 49.xx% system CPU.
Same here, running an up to date Win7 x64. Can you reproduce this behavior?

    Steps I tooks was:
    1) Download and install filealyz-2.0.3.50.exe
    2) Analyze any file and get the dialog about wrong pcrelib.dll
    3) Download fix.zip and unzip to installation directory.
    4) Analyze any (PE or non-PE) file through the context menu
    5) No dialog, FileAlyzer2.exe consumes one CPU (well 50% in task mgr, as I have 2 CPU cores)

Minidump of the frozen process (without full memory dump due to attachement size restrictions) is attached.

    Same here, on a quite up-to-date Win7 64bit.
    Fix.zip doesn't fix it:

Filealyzer starts & runs hidden, without showing up.
    I uninstalled it.

I believe he means that he should not have to register to download a fix. Probably not a native english speaker using Google translate.

I was able to download the fix and get FileAlyzer working on my system: 64-bit Windows SBS 2011 Standard w/SP1.

    I had the same issue,

    Windows 7 sp1 x64

The "fixed installer" with the MD5 sum 11664F19C467EFE118F015DF966CD3AF results in the same error. the fix in post 19 fixes the issue

    • download fix.zip from post 19
    • extract & copying pcrelib.dll to your FileAlyzer2 folder in the program files directory ( or wherever you told it to install)

    problem should be solved

This issue should finally be fixed in the version released last week. Please see http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=5
