    Hi,

Please start regedit and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.pdx\PDXFileType\ShellNew key (make sure it's exactly that key) and take a screenshot of permission window.

    Hi,

Go to registry editor and activate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.pdx key.

    1. Right click .pdx and select permissions.
    2. Click Add.
    3. Type SYSTEM and click Check Names. SYSTEM should appear underlined. Click OK.
    4. On "Permissions for .pdx" -window highlight added SYSTEM and check Full Control -checkbox.
    5. While still SYSTEM highlighted click the Advanced button.
    6. Select Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects.
    7. Deselect Inherit from parent the permission entries that apply to child objects. Include these with entries explicitly defined here
    8. Click Apply, and then click Yes when you are prompted to continue. Click OK, and then click OK again.
    9. Exit the Registry editor and see if you're able to install Adobe Reader now.
