Problems with a default install of SBSAD 2.0.5.131 with updates as on 14/Aug/2011 11:52:20.

1 From start center 'Scan files or folders' can only select files. How to select folders ? Perhaps a custom file select dialog not the windows standard one so files, folders or a mix can be selected.

2 Explorer right click on directory does allow directories to be selected but files listed appear slowly. Even for 6 files it took over 10 seconds.
Surely listing the files to be scanned shouldn't take this long (files as 3).

3 Scanning is very slow 78 KB (kilo bytes ! of c source files no exe's) took 15 seconds.

4 Canceling the scan early (before all files processed) gave an error 'Invalid pointer operation' but not when another spybot window was also open & not every time run.

5 Scanning does not take any advantage of multi-core cpus 14% cpu one core at most 90%.

My PC Intel i7-920 4 + 4HT cores at @ 3.5GHz, 6GB 1600MHz Low latency DDR3, XP SP3 32Bit, 250MB/s read speed SSD HDD.

Feels easier to use than 1.62 but oddly slow.
With so many signatures to work through it seems odd they cannot be done in chunks on multiple cores at the same time (even if you had to funnel all the reads through one thread).

Hope this is useful feedback.

Chris
