Default Error Message When Updating Defs etc

When I check for updates to 1.6.2.46 they update, but after they have downloaded I receive an error message everytime, it doesn't seem to have affected the update but wonder why I get this, I have copied the details below.

SPYBOTSD caused an invalid page fault in
    module SPYBOTSD.EXE at 016f:007132b9.

I get a similar error on Win98. The workaround I found is to download the detection updates from the link below. Then, with Spybot closed run the updates installer you just downloaded. Open Spybot and re-immunize as necessary.

I noticed there is an UPDATE.EXE in the spybot folder already, will it do the same thing?

    Question

I just downloaded that file you gave, ran it, it asked to install, so I clicked it to install in the default spybot folder, it seemed to show details of a few trojans, is that normal? and do I need to keep installing that file on say a weekly basis? is it changing each time I download it?

When I open spybot again and immunise is that picking up what I have just installed?

    You're welcome.

No, that will open Spybot and run the internal updater.

Yes, if you clicked Show details.
Yes, the file changes each week and has to be downloaded/installed again.

    Yes.

By the way, I am sure I got a similar error message even when I first installed Spybot 1.6.2, right at the very end of the installation, but it doesn't seem to have caused any damage. That didn't happen to you on 98 as well did it?

Sorry, it's been so long since I installed Spybot that I don't remember.
