Description:
IWinGames installs itself into the "iWin Games" and tries to load games from Internet. During this it displays a lot of unwanted advertisement without user consent.
Removal Instructions:

Start Menu:

Please remove the following items from your start menu.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Items named "Play iWin Games.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iWin Games\iWinGames.exe".

Quicklaunch area:

Please remove the following items from your start quick launch area text to the "Start" button in the taskbar at the bottom.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Quicklaunch symbols named "Play iWin Games.lnk" and pointing to "iWinGames.exe".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.
  • Products that have a key or property named "iWinArcade".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iWin Games\iWinGames.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If IWinGames uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.
  • The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\iWin Games".
  • The directory at "<$LOCALSETTINGS>\Temp\iWinGames".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iWin Games".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMS>\iWin Games".

  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "iWinGamesInstaller.CoInServ.1", plus associated values.
  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "iWinGamesInstaller.CoInServ", plus associated values.
  • Delete the registry key "{495874FE-4A82-4AD1-9476-0B957E0B95EB}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
  • Delete the registry key "{4B55700F-DB51-4891-8B28-6136A48A0105}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{4B55700F-DB51-4891-8B28-6136A48A0105}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{CA5E2E62-8612-4942-84A0-A94090D166AA}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{E3ED53C5-7AD5-4DF5-9734-AFB6E7E5D9DB}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "4301AEBD288588A40833184CFEC0AF92" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Features\".
  • Delete the registry key "4301AEBD288588A40833184CFEC0AF92" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\".
  • Delete the registry key "80F08842F9EA1BE4BA4922DA74CDB698" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\UpgradeCodes\".
  • Delete the registry key "ForseRemove" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
  • Delete the registry key "iWinArcade" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
  • Delete the registry key "iWinArcade" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
  • Delete the registry key "iWinGamesInstaller.EXE" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID\".
  • Delete the registry key "iWinGamesInstaller" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
  • Delete the registry key "iWinGamesInstaller" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
  • Delete the registry key "iWinGamesInstaller" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
  • Delete the registry value "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iWin Games\iWinGames.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\".
  • Delete the registry value "<$PROGRAMFILES>\iWin Games\WebUpdater.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List\".
If IWinGames uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
