    How am I to know which one from the vast list of update locations options

    I am located in Ohio, USA

    Some people have good results from choosing a mirror located closest to them,so you could try downloading updates from a USA location,if you wish.
    Results vary,though,so you might just want to choose a location at random,and give it a whirl.
