Description:
PlayPickle is a game provider that is sponsored via adware. While some adware components are optional during installation some are not and require to be uninstalled individually. Installer also does not clearly show which components are optional since options look like pictures.
Removal Instructions:

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$DESKTOP>\Play Pickle.url".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\kitara\pp.ico".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If PlayPickle uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:

  • The directory at "<$APPDATA>\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<$REGMATCH1>\extensions\{46d606b0-a645-11df-981c-0800200c9a66}".
  • The directory at "<$COMMONPROGRAMFILES>\FreeCause".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\kitara".

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "{1A2393CB-EA2C-4180-A2D1-7BC4A5FF85AA}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{1DD48890-A7D2-4C21-981E-62E211BD7DD9}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{B5A08717-BCD4-4AF4-BB69-BA84D44E770B}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
  • Delete the registry key "{B5A08717-BCD4-4AF4-BB69-BA84D44E770B}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\TypeLib\".
  • Delete the registry key "{B5A08717-BCD4-4AF4-BB69-BA84D44E770B}" at "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-790525478-1364589140-839522115-1003_Classes\TypeLib\".
  • Delete the registry key "FCSB000063123" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
  • Delete the registry key "Freecause" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AppDataLow\Software\".
If PlayPickle uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
