    Default computer too slow

    My computer is too slow and I am not sure what is the problem.

    when I turn the computer on it is not slow at all but then when you turn on the computer it starts acting slow after like 5 minutes. I try to use the internet it opens the web page fast but then when I scroll down it takes to long tell it decides to go down.

    Also, the operating system, security software installed and does the computer show signs of infection.

    I downloaded hijakthis and this is the log and by the way I did a full scan it did not show any viruses. Thank you so much and let me know if you need anything else.

    Sorry for the edit but logs are not to be posted in the Tavern.

    Also although HJT logs are useful it's no longer the preliminary log requested as it does not provide the kind of information necessary for present day malware analysis.

    Operating system: Windows XP SP3. Anti virus: Avast.

    Do you know how much memory/RAM is available on the computer please.

    Might be best to start a topic in the Malware Removal Forum so that someone can take a look at the system and go from there.

    First see that forum's FAQ which also includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide DDS logs.

    I did a scan with spybot but it wont let me get a report but it found like 60 problems, what should i do?
