single folder / file scan not working

i wanted to scan only a special folder, so i opened the "file and folder scan", added the folder, i want to scan -> first i get a question, if i not rather want to scan the whole system (no, cuz else i would have not started the "file and folder scan") i answer no (in software: yes, i want to scan only single files) -> the scrollbar into the screen starts to scroll up and down, like crazy but the screen stays white, no progress is displayed -> after some time, an other window wants to open, but its empty -> scanner freezes.

so the single folder scanner is currently not working.

hi. i am using Windows 7 SP1 as 32bit Version. I add folder "C:\Users\USERNAME\Music\" (containing over 300 entrys) and tryed also with other folders ("C:\Users\USERNAME\Downloads" and "C:\Users\USERNAME\Dokuments") always same problem
