    Default Babylon Toolbar

Sorry about this, but being a newbe on the forum I don't know what's gone before, but I'm sure this has previously been done to death! Is Babylon Toolbar dangerous? Spybot flagged it up, though nother any programme did. However, I followed the string in Spybot, went to regedit and removed everything that Spybot flagged up. But the next time I tried Spybot, there it was again! I don't know how its been in my registry as I only tried Spybot after getting some spam that gave the sender as me - on my domain name which is just about impossible to hit on by accident and gives no logical clues, so Babylon Toolbar may have been there for months as its not actually doing anything. It doesn't show itself and doesn't interfere with IE7. In fact there has never been a Babylon Toolbar exe file or any sign of it other than in the registry. HELP!

I personally feel that it is. I don't like anything installing itself onto my computer and into everything, all browsers and hard drives. I had to manually go into my hd and find all the registries that it put into all my browsers and manually delete them. That is the only way I got rid of it. It has a mess load of tracking cookies that track your every key stroke. So whomever it reports back to will know everywhere you've been and what you've done how you've done it and with whom. It's like the government electronically watching you.

    Default Babylon Toolbar

My apologies. I know this will have come up a squillion times, but I'm a newbie!
Spybot flags up Babylon.Toolbar. Opening it up it gives me a string, then I clicked 'Fix selected problems' and it went. I went to the registry, found it and deleted it. But it immediately came back. Apart from not being able to get rid of it, there ain't no Babylon Toolbar anywhere on my PC! HELP.

Default Will this get rid of Babylon?

If it's enbedded in IE, would I get rid of it by deleting IE8 , then reinstalling it?

Which version of IE do you have installed?

Also what is the operating system and which security programs are installed?

Please open Spybot Search & Destroy > Help > About and let us know the version and date of last definitions.

Service pack 3, and the computer is running as sweet as a nut despite it being about 8 years old and running Adobe Creative Suite2 and QuarkXpress!
