    Default svchost.exe taking over

hello all, new guy checking in. and looking for help w/ a couple issues.

i am running XP on a compaq presario sr1500nx. it runs fine until the internet connects. once it is online it uses up massive amounts of memory (it starts around 5k then has random spikes up to 110k) and bogs down. i also noticed in the process list extra ie.exe that aren't accessible on the main screen.

i also installed the SB RC2 tried to run spybot last night but keep getting an error that says: "The procedure entry point @Gnugette@initialization$qqrv could not be located in the dll snlbase150.bpl"

I know this might not be much to go by, any help would be greatly apppreciated. Thanks

    Hello,

    1. Svchost.exe is a generic host process name for services that run from dynamic-link libraries (DLLs).
