    Default Spybot SD result

    I had run other scan like AdAware and now just re-scan with Spybot SD 1.4 in Normal mode for my Win 2000 Prof stand alone desktop. Surprisingly there is one finding and as follows:-

    Windows.ActiveDesktop: User settings (Registry change, nothing done)
    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2052111302-1078145449-839522115-1000\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop\NoHTMLWallPaper!=W=1

    In my "Windows Task Manager", the "Task Manager Tab' is now back that is not grey out. Please let me know what I should do next with the Spybot result, thanks

    The following detection indicates that there is ActiveDesktop\NoHTMLWallPaper registry entry that is not set to dword:00000001.

    Code:
    Windows.ActiveDesktop: User settings (Registry change, nothing done)
    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2052111302-1078145449-839522115-1000\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop\NoHTMLWallPaper!=W=1
    The items under ActiveDesktop are supposed to be a dword:
    • 0 = no restriction
    • 1 = enable restriction

    NoHTMLWallPaper = only allow bitmaps (BMP) as wallpaper

    See the following article for a more complete description of ActiveDesktop registry entries:

    If you did not intentionally set that registry value to allow HTMLWallPaper than you should fix the detection.

    Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.

    Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition running on a 2.40GHz IntelŪ PentiumŪ 4 Processor with 512 MB of RAM and a 533 MHz System Bus.
