Missed it, it was on another page.
I think what I would do now is completely uninstall Chrome . You can use this uninstaller to make sure you get all the registry entries associated with it as well. Just download the free version
http://www.revouninstaller.com/
C:\Program Files\Chrome <-- Delete the entire Chrome Folder if its still present after the uninstall.
Then go ahead and download and install a clean copy
www.google.com/chrome
