Default How do I know if my Spybot settings are correct?

Hi, can someone please direct me to location where I check to see if my Spybot settings are correct. Spybot has not detected anything in a long time and I am wondering if my settings are not correct. I am not very good with technical terms and need extra steps when others give me computer how to's. Just not very technical.

Go into Spybot > Help > About. Does the screen say?
    • Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4
    • Latest detection update: 2006-08-18

During the running of a Spybot scan ("Check for problems") the status bar in the lower left hand corner of the screen shows the following:
    • "Running bot-check(xxxxx/yyyyy:zzzzzz)" where:
      • xxxxx = Current check count.
      • yyyyy = Total check count.
      • zzzzz = Malware check being performed.

After the 2006-08-18 updates the yyyyy value should be 41197 (without usage tracks or beta definitions) during the scan.

If you are running Spybot-S&D 1.4 with the 2006-08-18 updates and the scan count is 41197, your settings are correct.

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.
