    Default Removing serve.bannersdontwork

Why can't Spybot detect and remove http://serve.bannersdontwork ?

I ran Spybot but still have the pesky popup. The internet does say it is malware.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello gratefuldennis,

    What is the operating system.
Other security programs installed, for instance an anti virus program.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

    Which browser are you using?

    Best regards.

Have same issue with http://serve.bannersdontwork.com/serve? trojan malware with Google Chrome browser on WXP SP3. Have disabled all extensions in Google Chrome but still get pop up. Norton AV 2013 reports event in silent mode. Have tried removing all temp files, cookies, history, etc and have "clean cookies on exit" enabled. But it still keeps coming back. IE 8 is not affected.

Have run Sbot twice and no malware detected with latest definitions and with Immunization set to on.

How can I get rid of this pesky pop-up trojan?

    Thanks guys......

    Hello CaboSteve,

Someone can take a look at the system if you start a topic in the Malware Removal Forum where a volunteer analyst will advise when available.

First see that forum's FAQ which also includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide DDS and aswMBR logs, which are used in the preliminary analysis.
