    Default Problem with wow.dll pop-ups

    Hello, all

First time in the Forum. Thanks for having me.

When I copy images to move from one folder to another in Windows Explorer, I've been getting a pop-up that says:

    There was a problem starting
    C:\Users\Hugh\AppData\Local\Temp\ssbffkp\smnakqi\wow.dll

The specified module could not be found.

Does anyone have any experience in getting rid of such a thing? Thanks.

    Hello arachnophile,

Someone can take a look at the system if you start a topic in the Malware Removal Forum where a volunteer analyst can look at logs in order to advise.

First see that forum's FAQ which also includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide the DDS and aswMBR logs, which are used in the preliminary analysis.

    Best regards.
