Default Install Security Center Integration in Windows XP Home

    I've become dumber than ever????

I've reinstalled twice my licensed S&D and I can't see the option to Install Security Center Integration, neither at install time nor under "System Services" in settings...

I've even been unable to locate the executable files for integration under the install folder (so I can't even run "by hand")

BTW, I'm logged with Administrator privileges.

I've googled a lot and searched into the forum, but I only find ways to uninstall.
My problem is the other way round...

    Can you please help me?

I mean that there is no file:
    C:\Program File\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SDWinSec.exe

The directory exists, but the file doesn't...

    You have Spybot 2.2,correct?
Please open Spybot start center, checkmark Advanced User Mode, click Settings, the System Services tab, then you can configure Security Center Service from there.Options are to Stop,Start,or Install and Uninstall, then when done you need to click Apply, and then OK.

    Yes, I use Spybot 2.2

There is no "Security Center Service" under "System Services"

    See attached screen capture.

Please note that when reinstalling the option to install Security Service integration sin not shown.

    I've reinstalled S&D2 twice!!

    Thanks,
    Ivan

    Oh,that's weird.

When reinstalling, are you choosing the default or the custom installation?
Also, what operating system do you have?

I mean that there is no file:
    C:\Program File\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SDWinSec.exe
The Security Center Service file appears to be called SDWSCSvc.exe in Spybot 2.2.Do you have that file in the Spybot folder?

I have Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3

    I always use default installation.

I have that file, sorry for the confusion.
Manually running it from a command line says that my operating system is not compatible (?)

I just want to get rid of the "Antivirus not installed" warnings...

I'm sorry,I see now you already had your operating system listed in your title before I asked.I completely flaked out on that.
Yes,security center service most likely is incompatible with Windows XP.I have a computer with Windows XP on it,and when I turned it on and looked,I don't have the security center service either.I'd never noticed that before.

Just as an aside,Microsoft has an end of support page up,looks like it ended a couple days ago:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/w...d-support-help

As for the Antivirus not installed warnings, what you could do is open Security Center, and under Virus Protection, click Recommendations, then checkmark the box that says I have an antivirus program that I'll monitor myself.
If you do decide to checkmark that checkbox, then Windows won't moniter your antivirus,or give you a warning if your antivirus is off, though.
