Thread: Slow computer

    It is a bit difficult to tell as I am remoting in through Logmein.com and that always tends to run a bit slowly. I did note in the logs that virtual memory was maxed out at 8192 so I moved that up to the system recommended amount of 24516MB.

    On the eset scan, should I check the "uninstall application on close" box and click "finish"?

    Yes, you can remove ESET

    You may want to post here for help with a slow computer, they can look through your programs and maybe find one that is causing problems or maybe two are conflicting

    Like Safer its free but you will need to register.

    You can link them to this thread so they can see what we have done

    Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool again.
    • Click on the Uninstall button.
    • Click Yes when asked are you sure you want to uninstall.
    • Both AdwCleaner.exe, its folder and all logs will be removed.

    Please download DelFix and save the file to your Desktop.

    1. Windows XP Double Click DelFix.exe to run the program.
    2. Windows Vista > Win 7 > Win 8 Right Click on DelFix.exe and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
    3. Place a checkmark next to the following items

    • Activate UAC
    • Remove Disinfection Tools
    • Create registry backup
    • Reset System Settings


    Click the Run button

    This will remove the specialised tools we used to clean your system. Any leftover logs, files, folders or tools remaining on your Desktop which were not removed can be deleted manually
