    unfortunately, the computer froze and crashed again this morning and again later on in the day when i switched it on. First, it crashed, then restarted itself. But i havent seen any blue screen errors appear yet.

    We need to remove tools and quarantine folders.

    Don't miss or skip this next step, this will remove malicious files from quarantine and set a clean restore point.

    Go to Start > Run > copy and paste the full text path in the run box

    ComboFix /Uninstall

    Note the space between the x and the /U, it needs to be there.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~
    • Download Delfix from here
    • Ensure Remove disinfection tools is ticked
      Also tick:
    • Create registry backup
    • Click Run
    • Purge system restore
    Any other tools and files found can simply be deleted or uninstall via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel etc.
