Default "Restricted Sites" will not suppress slow loading marketing data monitoring links.

    HP a1210n
    XP
    Firefox 33
    1 meg COX ISP.

Loading www. bbc.com in the US includes the following calls.

    mpd.mxptint.net
    royale.cdn.spongecell.com

Both these take a long time to execute.

I have put them on my "Restricted Sites", but they return
when moving from page to page within bbc.com.

    Regards

    Hello seasaltchap,

Before looking at this as a possible malware issue please consider posting for browser assistance at What The Tech: Browsers, Internet and email

If you will need to post in the Malware Removal Forum here please follow the instructions in that forum's FAQ which includes guidelines and instructions in post #2 on how to provide the logs from Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and aswMBR, which are the logs used in the preliminary analysis.

    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288

Then start a new topic in that forum providing the logs as shown.

    Best regards.

You'd only need to register as a member over there and start a topic in that forum, a tech would assist with the browser problem.

    Best regards.
