When I try to update Java, I get the message "File Uncompression Failed". Is this caused by malware? How do I resolve this?
When I open Internet Explorer, I keep getting the following message
"A program on your computer has corrupted your default search provider setting for Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer has reset that setting to your original search provider, Google (www.google.com). Internet Explorer will now open Search settings where you can change this setting or install more search providers."
It will not go away no matter what action I take. Please help.

Hello ken.kingwell,
The .jpg is too small to view but to seek assistance in the malware removal forum, if you believe the computer is infected, logs should be provided.
Please see that forum's sticky which includes guidelines and instructions in post #2 on how to provide the logs from Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and aswMBR, which are the logs used in the preliminary analysis.
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
Then start a new topic posting the logs so a volunteer analyst can guide you.
If you do that please follow up with your helper, thank you.
