Description:
SuperOptimizer is supposed to be a software that can optimize the computer by removing various unneeded registry entries. It requires a paid registration to be able to fix these issues. SuperOptimizer looks like a variant of PCUtilities.OptimizerPro. User benefit is questionable, products are mostly marketing with very few substance.
Removal Instructions:

Desktop:

Please remove the following files from your desktop.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.
  • Shortcuts named "Super Optimizer.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SuperOptimizer.exe".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.
  • Entries named "Super Optimizer" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SupOptLauncher.exe".

Important: There are more autorun entries that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D or RunAlyzer to locate and get rid of these entries.
  • Products that have a key or property named "Super Optimizer_is1".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Super Optimizer\.lnk".

  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Super Optimizer\Nach Updates suchen.lnk".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Super Optimizer\Super Optimizer entfernen.lnk".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Super Optimizer\Super Optimizer im Internet.lnk".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Super Optimizer\Super Optimizer.lnk".
  • The file at "<$DESKTOP>\Super Optimizer.lnk".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\file_id.diz".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\HomePage.url".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\sqlite3.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SuperOptimizer.chm".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SuperOptimizer.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SupOptGuard.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SupOptHelper.dll".

  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SupOptReminder.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SupOptSchedule.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SupOptSmartScan.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SupOptStart.exe".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SupOptStats.dll".
  • The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer\SupOptUninstaller.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If SuperOptimizer uses rootkit technologies, use the rootkit scanner integrated into Spybot-S&D 2.x or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.
  • The directory at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Super Optimizer".
  • The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Super Optimizer".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If SuperOptimizer uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.
  • Delete the registry key "{6791A2F3-FC80-475C-A002-C014AF797E9C}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
  • Delete the registry key "Super Optimizer" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
If SuperOptimizer uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.

There are more registry entries that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.
