Cannot create PosSystem.sbs access denied - Spybot 2.9 on a Win11

Nice to be back afte sooo many years.

I do seem to be posting this in the wrong forum, but I could not find whete to post it: sorry!

Revamped computer, fres Win11 intallation, and after done it the old-fashion way (firts System, then drivers, programs, proctection and then Spybot), I set out to create the covetted whitelist.

14 hours later, I get this...

Of course, my next action will be to un/re-install Spybot to create whitelist again but... Any ideas on why it did that/how to solve the issue?

Mind you, I've never had an issue with SB.

Hi. When you opened Spybot did you rightclick it and run as administrator before creating the trust/whitelist, and/or did Spybot offer to run as administrator when you started creating the trustlist?

Yes, I did. I actually do it with the top-dog Administrator account so that, whenever a new user is created, SB is already there, watching over the child, hahaha...

SpyBot has been a part of my IT life for many a computer over many years, that's why I was so taken aback by the message when I re-did my Thinkpad W520 to Win 11.

As it happens, I needed to go back to Win10 due to a non-relevant software issue. So, as I always do, SpyBot-ted the system, you know, for peace of mind.

Open all programs and browsers, close them, then install SB, eliminate temporary files, download updates, first scan, run immunization, and go to bed whilst the whitelist.

Come next morning...

Could not create the trust list!


Again?!


Any ideas..?
