Spybot update failure in Pro edition

I have had several failures, either in Auto or Manual application of the update, in the professional edition. Have removed possible firewalls to the installation with no success. Message received from S&D as follows:

[00:06.645] [+] Installing antivirus signature updates...
[00:11.071] [-] Failed to install Spybot 2 antivirus signatures!
[00:11.071] [-] Failed to install Spybot 2 antivirus signatures (e


Seems that there is a possibility that something is missing.

Is this an important update?

It seems that if it does not install this update, then it will not proceed to the next.

How does one get around this so that it will continue with the next update?

i've had some similar issues with the free version. very quick responses and a fast solve from the support dep.

i use spybot for more than 20 years now.
some years paid, some free.
now it's time for a paid upgrade again.

I'm glad you've had good experiences with Spybot support. I've always found them pretty helpful, as well.
