Can't open spybot.exe

I just installed spybot for Mac 10.2.8 and can't open it. Stuffit Expander tells me that this file doesn't seem to be zipped. I cleared out all Stuffit files and downloaded it again, and it works perfectly zipping and unzipping other files?

thank you for your reply. You might have noticed that I am not a wizard on these machines.
I took some time to learn more about this before getting back to you. I meanwhile scanned my imac with the demo version of macscan which found no spyware at all, + cleaned cookies and browser. Is this reliable? Any suggestions?
As a matter of fact, I only got alerted by a pop up window which told me that it had found some 900 dangerous files on my computer. I wonder if this might be a spyware in itself?
My beautiful cat, a burmese saint cat is called tashi. I have been told it means 'good luck' in tibetan.
