    Default multitasking

    hi,
I'd like to report a problem I have with spybot:
I do 3D renderings for a living using cinema 4D or/and Vray, while rendering I was always able to cruise the web, streaming music without any issue.
Last week I installed Spybot and since my computer behave totally differently:
in the task manager (if I'm lucky enough to get it to open) instead of having for the four processors a nice 100% top flat line for the length of the renders (from 1 up to 10 hours), it has problem updating, and when it does it draws jigsaw lines going from 100% to zero every 30 seconds or so. I have problem opening firefox, web pages can take minutes to post, scrolling, is unresponsive. I can't play mp3s the sound is choppy with blanks of 10-20 seconds. the computer can't multitask until I disabled Spybot resident and everything is back to normal.
I'm running XP proSp2, on an intel Q6600, 4Gig ram.

You could try disabling Resident permanently, and just having Spybot as an antispyware scanner,if you like.

This page has some apps that it lists as trusted,if you need an alternative to Spybot.
