Spybot SD won't open

It all began when I couldn't open Spybot SD for almost a month. Dedicated people worked with me to walk me through the procedure, at every angle, just to get the same results I began with.

It got to the point when a user named "129260" started asking questions, that got me to bringing up other problems. After a few more steps I couldn't open Spybot, so they recommended me here.

I was also wondering, if I use hijackthis should I download for the link you give, or should I use the hijackthis program I already have, version is 2.0.0.2

To summarize Spybot SD can be installed, but cannot open, either in normal windows start up, nor in safe mode.

Hello objectivebrianc,

In order for one of our volunteer helpers to advise you, please follow the procedure in this sticky to produce the HJT log.

"BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance)

Skip the Spybot-S&D part for now.

Then start a new topic and copy/paste the HijackThis log into it.

This thread will then be closed as helpers look for members without a response.
