Slow scan speed from 5/2/2006 Updates?

Looking at the dslreports topic, it appears the scan speed is not a problem for everyone.

OK very weird. Now, it is scanning within normal time on the Athlon 64 box.

The only thing different was that I had the machine off when I went to work yesterday and didn't use IE during this session. I ran a scan, and no probelms with speed. I have no infections. Just cookies found and cleaned.

For those with slow down problems, see if a reboot helps?

I am not having any difficulty. Of course after the update it takes maybe a extra second or so because of the more definitons, but nothing like the 12 hours i have been hearing about.

Just finished mine with today's updates. It seems to be back to normal now.

My scan times used to be 5 - 6 minutes. Now it's almost 20 minutes. No changes & my computer is clean. I think it's SSD's issue. Any comments or ideas? Thanks.
