    It's not a problem, post once the stuff has been removed. We could disable and remove them manually, but the tool will do a better job with less work for you.

    Thanks

    I will multiple steps this time, please take the time to follow them carefully and in the numbered order.

    1) We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
    * Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
    * If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
    * On the left hand side, Click on Tools
    * Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
    * Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
    * Restart your computer.
    (leave TT disabled until we finish)

    2) http://downloads.subratam.org/ResetTeaTimer.bat <<< right click the link and choose "Save target as"
    Download ResetTeaTimer.bat to the Desktop
    Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat
    to remove all entries set by TeaTimer (and preventing TeaTimer to restore them upon reactivation).

    3) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
    http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
    Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

    4) Disable the Service
    Click Start > Run and type services.msc
    Scroll down to Symantec AntiVirus Definition Watcher and right click on it.
    Click Properties and under Service Status click Stop, then under Startup Type change it to Disabled.
    Do the same thing with: Symantec AntiVirus

    (read these directions carefully)

    5) Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the codebox below into it:

    Code:
    File::
    c:\windows\system32\qusmdhgd.ini
    c:\windows\system32\vqywsunt.ini
    c:\windows\system32\cqlamwpf.ini
    c:\windows\system32\qljsfrir.ini

    Registry::
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\windows]
    "AppInit_DLLs"=-
    "AppInit_DLLs"="avgrsstx.dll"

    Folder::
    C:\Program Files\Symantec AntiVirus
    Save this as CFScript

    Referring to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe.

    This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThis log. (wait until you finish to post the logs)

    6) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

    (some items may be gone, removed by the CFScript)

    Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

    7) Run ATF Cleaner
    Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
    Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
    Click the Empty Selected button.
    Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

    (this is just information for you)
    *Cleaning Prefetch may result in a few slow starts until the folder is repopulated:
    http://www.windowsnetworking.com/art...efetch-XP.html

    8) Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop
    http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

    * Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
    * Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    * If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    * Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
    * When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    * Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    * When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
    * Please post the log from CFScript, the log from MBAM and a new HJT log.

    Tell me how the computer is running.

    Cheers

    Thanks for returning your information and the feedback, the HJT log looks much better, please leave TeaTimer diabled a while longer so we don't have to deal with it during the next steps.

    1) Remove combofix from the computer like this:

    Click START then RUN
    Now type or copy Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK.
    Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

    2) Clean the System Restore files like this:

    Turn off System Restore.
    On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    Click Properties.
    Click the System Restore tab.
    Check Turn off System Restore.
    Click Apply, and then click OK.

    Reboot

    Turn ON System Restore,
    On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
    Click Properties.
    Click the System Restore tab.
    UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
    Click Apply, and then click OK.

    3) Update MBAM and scan the system, there is no need to post a clean scan result.

    4) Right click the icon for AVG in System Tray and choose Open AVG User Interface.

    *Click on Update now, allow AVG to download and install any new updates.

    * Click on Computer Scanner then choose "Scan whole computer", this takes a round one hour on the computer I am using now.

    * Near the bottom above the words "The scan is complete" choose "Export overview to file"

    * Choose Desktop and give it a name you will recognize like AVG Scan Results, then choose SAVE.

    * Close results and close the Interface.

    * Copy and paste the contents of that file unless it is clean, then just let me know. Please include a fresh HijackThis log for me to view.

    Thanks...Phil

    TeaTimer memory has returned a lot of junk to the HJT log, you have to be able to see that?

    Follow these directions:

    We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes.
    * Restart your computer.

    http://downloads.subratam.org/ResetTeaTimer.bat <<< right click the link and choose "Save target as...
    Download ResetTeaTimer.bat to the Desktop
    Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat
    to remove all entries set by TeaTimer (and preventing TeaTimer to restore them upon reactivation).

    Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

    Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

    Restart the computer and make sure those items are gone, then you can enable TeaTimer and check again. If they return, uninstall Spybot S&D completely, Restart and then reinstall Spybot S&D 1.6.

    The items AVG located should have been deleted or sent to the virus vault. Those are cookies and if you return to the website that placed them, it will place them again. If you want control of cookies, see this information:
