Default New hjt log posted - 10Apr09 10:46 CDT

    Hi,
I think I did everything as you instructed. Here's the new hjt log. I don't mind updating the IE version...in truth I generally don't do many software changes or updates since I never know when it is truly useful or not, and my experience has been the less I screw with the box the better and longer it runs. I think I have been using this laptop for our general home us computer since 2004...I keep seperate work computers. Anyway, if you think that it is useful and worthwhile, I'm happy to update the EI version. Thank you again for your help!

    Hi

Yes, I recommend updating IE. Probably IE 8 would be better choice now that it's officially released. Both (7 and 8) can be found here

In overall your system looks good now.

    Default Downloaded IE8

    Hi Bro,
Yes, thanks, I downloaded IE 8 and have been using for a few days. Seems to be working ok. The computer appears to be running ok, still a bit slow with loading websites...but I'm thinking now that it may be my wireless internet connection speed more than my box.

I need to go plug in to an ethernet line to see if it loads faster.

Thank you again for your great help!

    David
