    Unhappy XPInternetVirus Problems

    Hello,

I read your instructions but what the heck is a DDS Log? Could you please explain how to do one? How do you go about getting it so the information can be posted here. How can the information be posted from the infected computers when they won't give you the internet because it disables almost every thing except my avast anti-virus program. I don't have your spy bot program on both computers. On one of them I do and the other I don't. I haven't been using spy bot for very long and have used it off and on. I'm really new at this so I'm not sure what it means? Does the DDS Log have something to do with spy bot? I asked my friend if he knew what it was and he didn't seem to know what I was talking about so that's why I'm asking so he can talk to you.

My male friend will be fixing my computers and the instructions will be for him. I got this on two computers infected with this nasty virus and yes it's my bad I used crap cleanner on both of them. What can you recommend instead of crap cleanner that clears cookies and automatic forms when visiting websites? I am mostly concerned with the tracks left behind on those forms. So I want to explain my side before you speak with him under this same account. I'm the girl here and he's the guy who's going to fix it. I am using one of his computers since mine is on the fritz.

We tried to get rid of this virus and he tried to delete it from the registry and it came back and it has a check box that cannot be disabled. It drove us both nuts and it drove me to tears because I am no expert at fixing these things. I insisted with him that we try your forum for help because your our only hope. I have been lurking about and reading that this horrible virus seems to get around. Your help will be much appreciated. I am pretty sure one came from a website and the other one I'm not certain. I have been downloading custom content for a game from media fire. Is that a bad site? I also download from fan sites that produce this custom content. It's for the video games I like to play.

    Hi,

DDS related instructions are in BEFORE you POST (READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) topic. Did you see it?

It's possible to use USB removable drive to transfer tools after making sure the drive is treated properly with USB Vaccine.

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds file to run the tool.
    • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
      1. DDS.txt
      2. Attach.txt
    • Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.

    Default Hello

My computer won't boot up. What can we do? He had to move the computer to his work room and he told me he can't boot it up.

He wants to reformat the disk and to reinstall the operating system. I asked him to come here so he can also learn something about removing the mal-ware.

I don't want this nasty thing left on my computer so it can come back to haunt us again.

I already have this bug on another hard drive and I just bought another hard drive to replace it because we didn't know what to do back then.

    Red face Hello Again

Thanks Blade81 for your help and suggested tools. He used the USB Vaccine and this is what he did to get rid of it.

He said he followed those instructions and used this super anti spyware.

I hope this was okay to do because it did work out for him so I'm going to read all the suggestions you give out here to try to stay out of trouble.

What can you recommend to clear out cookies and file forms that you fill out? Is there some tool that is safe to use?

    Hi,

Cookies can't be avoided if one wants to use the internet. Those removal tutorials don't usually fit for every case since each removal process is a unique one. If you want to be sure there's nothing bad left there create those DDS logs requested earlier.
