I too, just today, got this same error message when checking for problems. On another forum, it suggested an uninstall and a reinstall (which I did), but the problem remains. What is this????????

The other spyware programs usually advise us there is a new version and do we want to update to the new version. Does that happen with SpyBot? If not, why not?

The Uninstall information that SpyBot supplies (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread...run-cfto/page2) does not list Win7.

This is all so very confusing for those of us using 1.6.2.46!

Thank you for reporting this issue.
There is an error that slipped through QA.

This will most likely be updated with the next detection update scheduled for next Wednesday.

I will inquire about the upgrade information for 1.6.2 to 2.1.
1.6.2 should be able to display such information, but it may not be able to use the integrated updater to download and install 2.1.
