If you create a restore point first thats something you can revert back to if something should happen.
All the tool does is check for system errors and attempts to fix them if anything is found.

Well, you'll never believe this. My computer is silent again! And all I did was install the 16 Windows updates that just came up on my computer! They weren't there when we first started working on this issue and then on the weekend I got all these updates to do, I did them and poof, super loud computer is so quiet again, I can hardly hear it! Sigh.....sorry for all that work you went through, I guess maybe next time I should wait a month or so to see if updates become available? That's twice now that the updates fixed my loud computer issue.
I suspected it was the behind the scene updates trying to download and install.
To avoid this:
Set the machine to Never check for updates (not recommended): This option disables Windows Update completely in Windows 8, 7, or Vista. When you choose this, Windows Update won't even check with Microsoft to see if important security patches are even available.
What you can do here is check once a month, see whats needed then do all updates you want at that time.
To turn on Automatic Updates yourself, follow these steps:
Click Start, type Windows update in the search box, and then click Windows Update in the Programs list.
In the left pane, click Change settings.
Select the option the you want.
~~~~
When ready to check for updates, click on the windows Orb, then all programs, then windows update.
Then from there click on check for updates.
Let's remove tools and quarantine folders.
DelFix
- Please download DelFix or from Here and save the file to your Desktop.
- Double-click DelFix.exe to run the programme.
- Place a checkmark next to the following items:
- Activate UAC
- Remove disinfection tools
- Click the Run button.
- -- This will remove the specialized tools we used to disinfect your system.
Any leftover logs, files, folders or tools remaining on your Desktop which were not removed can be deleted manually (right-click the file + delete).
I originally thought that my problems were because I installed the latest version of Mozilla Firefox 47.0.1 because that's when my computer seemed to get so loud. So I downgraded to Firefox 46 but my loud computer persisted. Now that things are quiet again, should I upgrade to Firefox 47 again or wait?
Yes, patches to Firefox or any other browser are important.
