    Arrow All night long!?

    Hello friends
last night I downloaded and installed Spybot S & D, upgrade and started the first scan
About the speed of scanning many of you say that is impressive, but in my case Spybot worked all night and only finished this morning around 9 found 'only' 20 cookies
Is it normal? all future scans will be so long?

    OS: Win XP

It should be normal. Usually scan can take more or less than a hour depending on your system performance. Future scans will be optimized as possible in Spybot 2.0 (More details: Blog, Thread).

Well... perhaps you are right... but "all night" sounds a little bit too long for me...
I've a Pentium III CPU with 500 Mhz, 256 MB RAM and Windows 2000... and this oldie is much faster than "all night"...

Just to make sure, I've some questions to you:

Which version of Spybot did you run?
Can you give us details about RAM and CPU?

Did you run your computer in a kind of energy saving mode? If the answer is yes, this could be a reason...

Well, "all night long" sounds too much to me...
    Best regards - Beste Grüße,

    Matt
